The Department of Bio Technology was established in the year 2002 with an annual intake of 30 students. The department is accredited by NBA. The main objective of the department is to make students technically competent and application-oriented professionals to meet the ever-growing needs of the biotech industry.

The department is rated among top 20 private BT schools in India by leading magazine BIOSPECTRUM consecutively in 2008, 2009 and 2010.

Achievements of the Department:

• Department won ‘Best working model’ award for designing labscale prototype bioreactor in a state level model exhibition called Srujana organized by O.U. ABVP in 2006.
• Department is rated among top 20 BT schools of India by a leading magazine ‘Biospectrum’ consecutively in 2008, 2009 and 2010.
